FeesTaxationWe undertake to prepare the UK Income Tax Returns of landlords resident outside the UK (also known as non-resident landlords) from the information supplied by the lettings agent, and by the client himself/herself. We rely upon the information being provided to us being complete, accurate and timely in its submission. We cannot be held responsible for the consequences of inaccurate, incomplete or late submission of data to us. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee where the information supplied is incomplete, inaccurate or late. We endeavour to handle the taxation affairs of non-resident landlords on our fixed fee basis. This fee will be advised to you before work is started. Our current fixed fees are as follows:
Our fixed fee arrangements only relate to non-resident landlords to whom one questionnaire is submitted and answered promptly each year, and who approve the tax return promptly on submission. This is normally sufficient to deal with the taxation compliance of non-resident landlords. Any non-resident landlord requiring more than this level of service may be charged an additional fee on a time-cost basis at the prevailing rates. Maintaining your recordsIf you would like us to maintain your accounting records and to supply you with a profit report each month our fee structure is as follows. For most landlords who submit complete and accurate information, on time each month the fee should be about £25 to £35 per property per month. This service is only available to landlords with five or more properties, and is only available to landlords who use our taxation service. Users of this service are entitled to a substantial discount on our "additional property charge" in the taxation service scale of charges (above). Please contact us for details.
A transaction is an entry which may be a receipt, a payment, a purchase invoice, a rent receipt, etc. If there are clearly errors or omissions we will write to you indicating the nature of the error or omission. We will charge £5 for this letter. Corrections and amendments are charged at £1 per line. All correspondence is to be conducted by email and you must undertake to deal with correspondence within 5 days.
